I have an old studio photograph identified as Louisa “Lou” PARR DUCLOSE which was taken at the Allen Studio in Naples, NY. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890’s with Lou appearing to be in her 20’s at the time. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Lou and her family:
Louise “Lou” PARR was b. 23 Nov 1862 in Wayne County, NY to parents John D. PARR (1821-1889) and Elizabeth Dorothea SCHNEIDER or RINEKER (1833-1893). Louise was one of 6 children including Mary; George; Louise; William Ernest; Emma Anna; and Fred PARR, all born between 1855 and 1873.
Louise married John “1890” DUCLOS (1846-1915) on 17 Feb 1898 in Naples, NY and they had a son Harold John DUCLOS (1899-1963). Louise died 16 Nov 1931 in Naples, NY and is buried in the Rose Ridge Cemetery in Naples.
If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley

Have found Margery Parr Perry listed as the daughter of William Parr (b. 1480) and Mary Salisbury in numerous family trees but other records show his 4 daughters being Maud, Anne,Elizabeth, and Mary. None of these daughters married a Parr. Does anyone know who the parents of Margery Parr (b. abt 1520, married Richard Perry) were? Thinking this is a glitch in my family tree and hoping to make sure my info is correct. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.

PARR in Kentucky, USA (1.) John Parr/Pair (b. abt 1780) (m. ?) Jane unknown, so this oldest generation is speculation; (2.) James R. Parr (b. abt 1805) in Mercer Co. KY USA. James (m. 12 Dec 1823) Nancy B. Hunn (b. 05 Jul 1809) in Mercer Co. KY USA. By 1850, James was not on the scene and Nancy, with her Parr children, was in Platte Co. MO USA. This male lineage has been Y-dna tested and found to be R1b1b2* or R-M269 haplogroup (Ysearch.org ID = 3DCAY). The best match, so far, is a 33/37 marker match with Jack Parr parrresearch@sympatico.ca; however, no genealogy connection has ben found thus far. Any contact is welcome. I’am looking for information on Alexander Parr, b:1832 Va. (possibly WV). I have found another Alexander with a son named Alexander as well that may or may not be his father. He married Julia Abrams in 1867, he may have been in the Civil War as well but no proof either way. They then moved to Iowa, had 11 children and he died in 1901. I am stumped past these few facts. Help!! I do hope someone may have an idea of where to search next or a clue or two. Any help I can give someone I’d be happy to do.
Thanks, Jobeth

George Parr (born 4 January 1824 at Waterbeach Cambridge, England) had his picture taken when he was 85 years old at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I also have a picture with the caption, “another son of Hattie Diekls (Pickle ?) uncle George Parr’s daughter.” That picture was also at Cedar Rapids, but in a different style and had the phographer “Kadgihn Studio” embossed on it. That’s all I have on the family of George Parr, I am interested in finding out more of George and his family.
