Eccleston is at the other side of town from the district of Parr (approx 3 miles away). Old maps of St.Helens show the site of Parr Hall which had a lake. Unfortunately, neither the hall nor the lake survive to this day

Map 1 : is a modern, small scale map showing the general position of St. Helens [highlighted in yellow].
Map 2 : (modern) shows Merseyside and its environs and has been marked [in yellow] to show the area covered by Parr.
Map 3 : a modern street plan of the Parr area indicating the area of Parr Hall.
Map 4 : This is a large scale map of the Parr Hall area as it was in 1894. Worth noting is the fact that Prospect Road/Latham Street (bottom left) still exist today (see Map 3).
