The Balfours: A Pioneer Family (ISBN 0-9697277-1-2 published by Robert Balfour Tomlinson) Chapter Four – James Balfour (1823-1904) & Jane Bell (1836-1913)-pg109-168 ( 6,792 KB ) – pages 152, 154, 162, 164, and 166 not included as they are blank.

The story above claims their Jane Bell to be the daughter of William Bell and Jane McLaughlin. This is incorrect as our Jane Bell was born in 1845 and is clearly listed with her parents in the 1861 Canadian census for Hibbert Twp. – SLC film 349311 ( 155 KB ). Also, the Jane Bell listed in the above story has NO proof of registration for her birth, baptismal, marriage, nor death published in this book.
